Cannabis Grow Timeline Calculator
Build an estimated grow timeline from a start date and stage durations through drying and curing.
Plan a cannabis grow timeline
Enter a start date and the number of days expected for establishment, vegetative growth, flowering, drying, and an initial cure. The calculator adds the stages and provides an estimated completion date.
The default schedule uses 14 seedling days, 28 vegetative days, 63 flowering days, 10 drying days, and 14 curing days. Together they create a 129-day planning window.
Stage lengths are flexible
Seed-grown plants, clones, photoperiod cultivars, and autoflowers follow different schedules. Photoperiod plants can remain in vegetative growth until the grower changes the light cycle, while cultivar descriptions for flowering are estimates rather than exact deadlines. Plant health and environmental stress can also extend a stage.
Plan from plant readiness, not only the calendar
Use dates to coordinate supplies, space, and availability, but make transitions from plant condition and maturity. Flowering duration should be checked against cultivar behavior and harvest indicators. Drying depends on flower density, airflow, temperature, and humidity, and curing may continue well beyond the initial period entered here.
Useful scheduling practices
- Add buffer days for cleaning, transplant recovery, and unexpected delays.
- Record actual stage dates in a grow journal.
- Plan drying space before harvest.
- Review local rules before starting a grow.
- Recalculate when a stage runs longer or shorter than expected.
The timeline is an organizational estimate, not a biological guarantee. Actual harvest and completion dates should follow plant readiness and safe post-harvest conditions.
